Purpose and scope

This role will be responsible for supporting multiple collaboration and productivity tools and services including but not limited to Cisco Collaboration, WebEx Calling, and Microsoft Teams Calling. The team member will be expected to interact with customers, peers, vendors, and partners to complete projects on time and resolve customer issues as per contracted SLAs. The architect will be responsible for call routing, scripting, configuration, and troubleshooting for multiple customer sites.

Responsibilities

Deploying, maintaining, troubleshooting, and administering various Collaboration solutions including Audio/Video conferencing rooms, Enterprise Telephony System, Contact Center Services. This will include Cisco Collaboration infrastructure and others.
Session Border Controllers / Cisco Voice gateway / router configuration and troubleshooting.
Evaluating and installing voice hardware including servers and routers, voice applications, and performing software updates as needed.
Working with vendors for Session Initiation Protocol trunk and gateway configuration and activations.
Managing and monitoring the performance of Voice environment for multiple customers.
Gathering requirements for business processes and determining ways to optimize and improve the customer’s collaboration tools.
Providing troubleshooting for systems and end users for voice and video quality issues.
Working with customers to define call flows, creating, and implementing scripts.
Working with clients to develop change control documents for maintenances.
Providing training to customers for use, administrations, and maintenance.
Ensuring backups are being performed and available for recovery purposes.
Conducting testing of voice calls and failover of systems.
Handling trouble tickets by phone or email to resolve customer voice issues to resolution in a timely manner.
Performing shell scripting or other basic scripting tasks in Cisco Unified Contact Center Express (UCCX).
May supervise other voice or collaboration engineers on the team or provide Quality Assurance by doing peer reviews of work performed.

Job requirements

5+ years technical experience as a Collaboration Engineer or Architect.
Must be proficient in the support and configuration of:
- Cisco Unified Communications Manager
- Cisco Unity Connection
- Cisco CUBE and Voice Gateways (MGCP, SIP, etc.)
- Router and switch based QoS
- WebEx Cloud Calling
- Microsoft Teams for Voice
Working knowledge of Jabber, Presence and WebEx, MRA, CER is preferred.
Knowledge of voice and Video Technologies such as WebEx Calling, Microsoft Teams, and Zoom
Must possess excellent troubleshooting skills.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Must be reliable and have ability to work as part of a team.
Ability to participate in an on-call schedule and providing after hours support as necessary.
One or more of the following is preferred, but not required:
- Cisco CCNP Voice
- Microsoft Teams Voice Engineer
